
Showcase Marching Band
Students put together an on-field musical production during the fall semester, perform at football games, school assemblies, and multiple contests around the Southwest.
Color Guard/Winterguard
Students perform and rehearse with the marching band, as well as take a class in which they work on dance concepts, body movement, and choreography with flags, sabres, and rifles. In the Winter and Spring semester, they perform at competitions around the Southwest.
Wind Symphony
Students audition into this band, and play very demanding musical literature. Students in wind symphony are required to participate in marching band.
Symphonic Band
Typically students in symphonic band have played an instrument for a minimum of one year, but experience is not required. Students perform at concerts throughout the year, and develop their musical skills. Students in symphonic band are required to participate in marching band.
Jazz Combo
Students in jazz combo learn about the fundamentals of jazz music, including theory, improvisation, transcription, and composition. No jazz experience is required!
Jazz Big Bands
Jazz 1 and Jazz 2 both meet in the mornings after marching band season ends. Students play in a full big-band ensemble, and perform at concerts and festivals throughout the state.
